Our five-star rated Micro800 course, Nano Basics, receives new lessons on using Analog Outputs and Universal Analog Inputs!
In the first of two new new lessons, students learn how to add an Analog Output plug-in module, the 2080-OF2, to their Micro850 project.
After configuring the module, students are shown how to scale analog outputs using function block programming to drive 4-20ma and 0-10vdc analog devices.
In the second lesson, students learn how to setup and configure a Universal Analog Input module from Spectrum Controls.
To do so, students start by downloading the vendor’s sample code, importing that code, and modifing it for use with both 4-20ma and 0-10vdc inputs.
Students will then learn how to scale the raw 4-20ma and 0-10vdc analog input values using function block programming in CCW.
In the coming weeks we also plan to add additional lessons covering expansion I/O modules, integrating PowerFlex VFDs, and creating a PanelView 800 HMI project to interface with students existing programs.
